Be a Voice!

I want to join others who have a love and passion not only for the tiny babies that are not given a chance at life and do not have a voice of their own, but also for the women who are alone, scared, confused, hurt and find no help, support or love from doctors, abortionists and Planned Parenthood where they pressure them to abort without talking about risks and life-long consequences.

Can You Imagine a World Without Abortion?

CAN YOU IMAGINE?

Canada is one of the LAST countries in the world to have ZERO restrictions or laws when it comes to abortion. Did you know that? Did you know that a woman can walk into a clinic in your city at 9 months pregnant and ask for an abortion because she has heartburn? Did you know that a woman can go to a women's hospital at her due date and ask to abort her twins because she found out they were both girls and she would prefer boys? You will hear the argument that "No, I heard that in Canada a woman can only abort in her third trimester due to health issues" - WRONG!

Did you know that abortions due to rape and incest account for LESS than 1% of the millions of abortions being done? Did you know that 45% of these abortions are 2nd,3rd,4th, etc.? Did you know that women that are raped and become pregnant and abort spend more time in regret and guilt over the ABORTION (which was their choice) versus the rape (which clearly was not their  choice).

Did you know that women are dying all the time from botched abortions IN licensed abortion clinics? That is it NOT as "simple as getting your tonsils removed" (quote from an abortion clinic). That there are high risks including a higher chance of breast cancer, depression, dependencies on alcohol and drugs to cope, pain, higher risk of suicide and almost always...regret and guilt.
Did you know men suffer from these as well?

Did you know that since abortion was legalized MORE women have died from abortion than before when you hear about the "back alley abortions" because it is more accessible and more accepted, and because women are NOT being told the risks!?

Did you know that 1 in 4 women will have had an abortion before they are 40? And hundreds of thousands of these are religious, church-going women.

Did you know that YOU are not only supporting abortion by either doing nothing, ignoring the facts, purchasing products that uses your money to fund abortion, your tax money going to abortions or using products that CONTAIN aborted fetal cells such as many of our vaccinations?

If you are anything like me.... you feel helpless. What can one person do? How can we actually change the LAWS in Canada? Well...first step, start telling the truth! Don't shy away from a conversation on abortion, tell the facts, do it lovingly and sternly, do not judge those around you whether they have had abortions or simply don't have all the facts and so they stand up for "pro-choice" laws. Tell them the truth. Plant the seeds of doubt in their minds where they have been continuously lied to by society, media, government and Planned Parenthood.
*Read my last blog on Abortion: It is Black and White for facts*

Second step... do something! You may not be able to dedicate your whole life to this cause, you may have a fulltime job, a family, children of your own, a busy life! But you can still do something.
First off, WRITE YOUR MP AND PRIME MINISTER STEPHEN HARPER.
Yes, this makes a difference! Can you imagine if Stephen Harper were to receive one email from each of us every day? Even every week?? Saying simply and respectfully... "we are NOT okay with Canada's lack of laws and restrictions on abortion! We are NOT okay with hurting and killing our children and you should not be either."
You can email Stephen Harper here: http://www.pm.gc.ca/eng/contact.asp  OR

And from there, do what you can and where you feel called! Whether that's donating funds to a Crisis Pregnancy Center or donating baby items or clothes. Whether it's handing out postcards, putting up posters or mailing postcards. Whether it's helping out mothers that have chosen LIFE and now need our help and love! Whether it's adopting children in need from the foster care system! Whether it's getting people to sign a petition - did you know that a petition of 25 signatures delivered to Parliament means they have to address it? Whether it's praying for a change! Whether it's standing outside of a clinic and praying for the women going in there or talking to them. Whether it's organizing a diaper drive with friends, or a pro-life group at your church, or simply just bringing up this topic with friends to get the word out!! If we all did ONE deed imagine the difference!

CAN YOU IMAGINE?
Can you imagine if instead of spending the BILLIONS of dollars including donations and taxpayers money to Planned Parenthood where 96% of what they do is ABORTION would instead go to adoption agencies and helping deserving people become parents through adoption?
Can you imagine if that money went to creating and running more Crisis Pregnancy Centers where instead of teaching teens about Plan B pills and abortion, we would teach them how to parent, help them afford to raise their children, financially assist them with medical bills and housing and food and how to NOT become pregnant in the first place by respecting their bodies!
Can you imagine if Prime Minister Stephen Harper would stop saying, "I will never re-open the abortion debate" and instead came out saying, "I know it may not be popular...but it's time to put a stop to this mass genocide going on in Canada!" Can you imagine if our PM actually made a CHANGE and what they would look like?
Can you imagine if all those women (and men) out there angrily screaming and fighting for "women's rights" would realize that by doing this they are condemning little girls (and boys) to death? That because of the stand they are taking FOR abortion they are encouraging that teenager to kill her own child, that mother to actually give permission for a doctor to take the life of her own baby, do they realize what they are really doing?
Can you imagine if we all came together, since we are all fighting for women's rights right? That we would come together and realize that abortion HURTS women and kills little girls?? That we would all put an end to this?
Can you imagine if each and every one of us made an effort to talk about the truth of abortion with friends and family...If we each plant a small seed and can you imagine if YOU save a babies life??

I can imagine!
And I believe a change is just on the horizon for Canada, be a part of this change!!

Abortion IS black and white - here is why:

Whether you ARE pro-choice, or pro-life with "exceptions" or pro-life and wanting to learn more about the cause this article is for you:
When the topic of "abortion" is brought up in a conversation it is often said that it is "not so black and white" and there are exceptions, OR we hear the common arguments of rape, a woman's body is her choice, etc. This is a taboo topic and even when it's brought up in churches, between friends, family members or even in a pro-life group, we are all afraid to offend others and we can't assume we even know WHO has had an abortion or been affected by abortion. Statistics show that 1 in 4 women will have had an abortion before they turn 45... think about that, 1 in 4 women that you know.

Why are we so afraid to talk about abortion?? Because it's personal, painful, emotional and involves a loss, and even when a woman is not ashamed of this abortion because she feels she made the right decision, she most likely will not talk about it, haven't told family members and it's a secret that she will hold for most of her life.

The good news... the pro-choice arguments are collapsing under the weight of science, that's right... not because of religion or politics or even what we as humans consider "humane" ... but because of SCIENCE. Science is now telling and showing us that when a sperm meets an egg, it becomes a zygote and this is indeed LIFE. This happens 24 hours after conception. It has his or her unique set of DNA that no other human being will ever have, even unique from his or her mothers (so a separate BODY - hence the flawed argument of "MY BODY!" from the women's rights), and just 22 days after conception the heart is beating. Women do NOT know they are pregnant until at least 28 days after conception... it is life and they cannot argue anything different anymore.

The bad news... Canadian Parliament is ignoring science. Many are stepping forward with Motions or wanting laws banning abortion in some form if not completely, and Prime Minister Stephen Harper AND many Member of Parliaments have voted NO to motions such as: "Banning Sex-Selective Abortions" and "Life Beginning at Conception" (which would NOT make abortion illegal, it would change the view of what is a human being!)
Canada is the last of THREE countries (including China and North Korea) that have ZERO laws concerning abortion. That means that according to the Court abortion is permitted for ANY reason a woman chooses until the child becomes viable; after viability, an abortion may STILL be permitted if an abortion doctor deems the abortion necessary to protect a woman's "Health". Please note that "health" according to our Court means "all factors - physical, emotional, psychological, familial, and the woman's age". In other words... she can abort at 9 months if heartburn is too severe...seriously.

When you start a conversation with someone is pro-choice, or perhaps you don't know where they stand, OR a pro-lifer that has "exceptions" please take a look at these arguments:

WOMEN WILL DO IT ANYWAYS - SO IT SHOULD BE LEGAL SO IT'S "SAFE"
Every form of lawless behavior could be rationalized with this same argument (rape, robbery, running red lights, etc.)
The reality is that every compassionate person does not want a woman to suffer through the personal tragedy and trauma of abortion - legal OR illegal, even the Feminists for Life says, "women deserve better than abortion!" Establishing legal limits to the current "absolute right to abortion" laws will mean fewer abortions, and we all agree that is good! Good for the women, children, families, societies, communities and countries! But Canada is refusing to set legal limits...why is that? Money - abortion is a money-making business! (For example, Planned Parenthood reported "$87.4 million in excess revenue and more than $1.2 billion in net assets." This is NOT just a non-profit business helping women... in 2011 abortions made up 92% of Planned Parenthood's pregnancy services. Remember that next time you argue that Planned Parenthood does so much with cancer prevention, adoption referrals, prenatal care or sex education.
Abortion will be dangerous whether it's legal or illegal, and it has been proven in countries that set limitations that by making abortion illegal it does NOT cause a rise in maternal deaths, in fact in Ireland where they have the strictest laws...maternal deaths have gone DOWN.

ABORTION BECAUSE OF RAPE
Almost EVERY conversation that I have with people, no matter WHERE they stand will bring up the cliche argument of "what about the 13 year old girl that is carrying her father's child?! You can't force her to have a baby!"
First of all what you need to know when talking about this is that LESS than 1% of the millions of abortions that have occurred and WILL occur are the result of a rape or incest. It is an extremely rare and an extreme case and the only reason it is brought up is because they cannot win the debate on the merits. What they are really saying is that they believe a mother should have the right to kill their unborn children no matter what the circumstances. They may then say, "no! Just in that circumstance!" But it comes back to HUMANITY. Science has proven this is a life, in the womb and out, so you are saying that mother (no matter HOW she became pregnant or what her age) should legally be allowed to choose to murder her baby. It's hard to argue that you are FOR that.
Is it legitimate to kill a person conceived in rape AFTER they are born?

IT'S THE WOMAN'S CHOICE - SHOULD NOT FORCE THE HARDSHIP OF PREGNANCY
The reality is that pro-choicers are not arguing for adoption or raising a baby We all want that!! So they are really fighting for the right to abort. That IS black and white, no grey area. You are saying that abortion is a "necessary evil".
We must give up a measure of personal freedom to live in a community! Personal choices that infringe on the life or livelihood of another human being must be legislated against. In other words, just because someone WANTS the freedom to choose something they want for their own reasons... doesn't make it safe, harmless, morally right or best for society.
As a woman that has been pregnant four times with three babies... pregnancy is hard! It takes a toll on your body and makes you rethink a lot of choices during those 9 months on behalf of your baby... BUT.. as demanding as pregnancy is on your body, it is temporary. It is on behalf of a helpless child and pregnancy is completely natural. This is not a parasite, this is not just a mass of cells (we are ALL a mass of cells!), it is a baby from day one and choosing abortion is permanent and deadly to the child.
Abortion is an issue that involves competing rights - not an issue of who is more important but rather who has more on the line.

Why should the mere change of location from inside the womb to outside the womb change the essential nature of the unborn?

The next time you here the topic of abortion being discussed and hear any of these common arguments, you can now step in and lovingly but sternly explain why these are flawed arguments. In the end, people are either okay with murdering a child for whatever reason they are facing, or it is not okay. We do this lovingly because as I said before, if the statistics are 1 in 4 women... chances are you will be talking to a woman that has had an abortion at some time, and we still want to love them, show compassion and pray they find healing.

We need to be stern and start speaking out more because abortion is NOT a grey area, it is black and white, it is wrong. We can begin by planting seeds in those minds that are talking about abortion and start making a positive change for our women, our children, our communities and Canada.
